here we go again.

so randomly. i was going through my xanga and i came across this post from january 9, 2006, when I was in my junior year at rutgers. it was a set of new years resolutions...here they are with updates:

my resolutions so far

  1. Study More - although i'm somehow managed to graduate..im supposed to be studying for the cpa exam now...and that hasn't really been happening lol.
  2. Goto Sleep Earlier - well this one i actually accomplished mainly because i have to get up early for work, but i think im still only averaging a few hours a night and crashing all day saturdays
  3. Eat Healthier - definitely not working out with the amount of traveling i do
  4. Gym Atleast 3x a Week - i think i barely go 3 times a month
  5. Less AIM - i think i am the only one my age whos still leaves aim signed on aim 24/7
  6. Read More Often - last real book i read and finished was probably in 2007
  7. Spend Less Money - in way more debt now then i was in 2006
  8. Write Better Xanga Entries - um my previous entry wasn't even legible.
lol so basically in almost 4 years ive managed to accomplish none of my resolutions. well you know as they say better late then never. im giving my self until the end of the year to accomplish all these so i can start off with fresh ones for 2010. ready. set. gogogogogo.

GOING TO THE BLINK 182 SHOW!!!!!! I CAN NOW FINALLY CHECK ONE THING OFF MY LIFE GOALS.

less is more.

besides being a totally awesome relient k song, i think it should be an ideal that every american needs to start abiding by. we as a society have become so over indulgent that it's sickening. what's worse is that we embrace it and even celebrate it. everyone is applauding glamor magazine for featuring a nude plus size model in it latest issues...seriously you're going applaud promoting obesity? ok so lizzie miller isn't obsese, but still why are we in love with that idea. day by day its like more and more acceptable, with shows like "more to love" and "drop dead diva" airing across the country and getting praised for "empowering fat people and giving them self-confidence." should we really be giving them self-confidence, when the fact is if they continue in their lifestyle they're more than likely to end up with diabetes or heart disease and die early?

don't get me wrong. i'm not promoting anorexia, bulimia, or anything like that, you don't have to be super skinny. i know theres people out there that are bit overweight and what not that's not what i'm talking about, shit i'm a little overweight myself (ok maybe more than a little). however i do think that people need to stop being so damn overindulgent, i.e. if you're already really fat don't go out and keep ordering double bacon cheeseburgers and cheese fries, sure it tastes good but come on you're literally killing yourself. you need learn to control your habits. you're no better than a cokehead.in addition, it won't kill you to take the stairs when you're only going up one floor.

but like i said its not fat people's fault their fat, it's society fault for putting a mcdonalds on every corner and for further researching ways to improve laziness (elevators/escalators everywhere, netflix, on demand, segways, moving walkways, papajohns.com). people can literally just stay home all day without moving an inch from their computers or tvs and binge eat (and they do and tax dollars are wasted to crane them out of their apts when they die). worst of all, were just sitting it back and allowing it to be further and further promoted. think about it fast food commericals are everywhere and theyre even getting kids hooked at young age with kids meals, toys, and characters like ronald, hamburglar, etc., how is it any different than joe camel? maybe we need to get the surgeon general involved.

surgeon general's warning: eating this burger can lead to heart disease, high blood pressure, cholesterol, and may complicate pregnancy. exercising now can greatly improve your health.
